Odisha boys disappoint in Junior NFC

Odisha crashed out from the group stage of the B C Roy Trophy Junior Boys National Football Championship (Tier-II), failing to win any of their three league matches at Hoshiarpur in Punjab. They lost two matches and drew one.

Odisha started their campaign on a modest note, holding Kerala to 1-1 draw. But in the remaining two matches they lost to Assam and Uttarakhand 1-2 and 0-1 respectively. In the first two matches Odisha were first to take the lead, but failed to maintain the same.

Odisha (Somay Hansdah 44th) drew with Kerala (85th) 1-1.
Jan 27: Assam (44th, 70th) beat Odisha (Sooraj Hansdah 5th) 2-1.
Jan 29: Uttarakhand beat Odisha 1-0.
